Rental Agreement and Security Deposit:
Guests are required to sign a rental agreement for their stay and complete a security deposit credit card form.
Guest Count and Unregistered Guests:
Guests must confirm the number of individuals in their group. Unregistered guests are subject to a fee outlined in the rental agreement.
Events, Parties, and Gatherings:
No events, parties, or large gatherings are allowed on the property.
Property Features:
Please be aware that this property has stairs, and the bedrooms are not all located on the same level. Home has a narrow entrance and adjoins a steep ditch. Practice caution when entering and exiting the driveway. Host will not be liable for any ditch/street related incidents.
Quiet Hours:
Guests are expected to respect quiet hours from 10pm to 8am, as a courtesy to the neighbors.
Security Cameras:
For the monitoring of house rules and any violations, outside security cameras are in place. Guests understand that any violations may result in additional fees.
Early Check-in and Late Checkout:
Guests requesting early check-in or late checkout will be charged $50 per hour for each hour before 4pm or after 10am, respectively. Failure to pay these fees authorizes host to withhold the owed amount through the Resolution Center.

Payment Policy
50% of your reservation is due at the time of booking. The additional 50% is due thirty days prior to arrival. 5% cancellation fee.
Damage Deposit Policy
As a security deposit alternative, Houfy Protect, an upfront nonrefundable low cost property damage protection policy for just $5 per night, is taken at time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
Reservations are fully refundable up to 30 days prior to arrival. If a reservation is canceled, any processing fees by the reservation or credit card companies will be charged to the guest. This is typically a 3% charge.
Notes
•All reservations require a signed rental agreement and security deposit "hold" on our reservation system, outside of your booking platform.
•This house is not pet friendly unless you have a pre-approved, authorized pet.
•We provide a generous starter kit containing toiletries, soaps, paper products and trash bags. Grocery stores are nearby if you run out of anything.
•To access the dock, there is a staircase leading to a path with a moderate to steep incline.
•It's important to note that this home is situated on the lakefront, and engaging in any water-related activities carries inherent risks. We strongly recommend reading the rental agreement thoroughly to gain a comprehensive understanding of your responsibilities, release of liability and our policies concerning safety and liability.
•The road to the home is steep and curvy. All Wheel Drive cars are required in the winter months.
•We also provide a pellet grill at no extra charge for its use (unlike many places). We simply ask you to please leave it in decent condition to avoid a $50 cleaning fee. Thanks!
•There is absolutely NO SMOKING/Vaping/ 420/ ON THE PREMISES and NO PARTIES ALLOWED! If you want a party site, find another rental! Immediate eviction with ** NO REFUND ** will result if there is a party on the property! Our property manager and neighbors WILL let us know if a party is happening.
• Deep Creek Lake boasts a wealth of captivating wildlife. Be prepared to encounter a stunning array of creatures during your stay, including bald eagles soaring overhead, graceful deer exploring the woods, and the haunting calls of loons echoing across the lake at dusk. Don't be surprised if you spot the occasional fox or bear near our home, and keep an eye out for our frequent squirrel visitors. If you're lucky, you might even witness the occasional groundhog, raccoon, or opossum quietly making their way around the hillside.
•This is very important!! Because you're in the mountains, trash must be disposed of correctly to avoid attracting bears. ALL trash must be placed IN TRASH BAGS TIED TIGHT and put in the special bear-proof trash container at the top of the hill. NEVER leave trash outside! Bears have an incredible sense of smell and they will find it and make a colossal mess and then keep returning for more!
• Next, we should address the presence of smaller, less charming wildlife, specifically mice and insects. Given the mountainous surroundings, it's not uncommon for mice to find their way indoors. If you happen to notice any mice or their droppings within the house, please don't hesitate to inform us promptly.
In addition, it's essential to be mindful of how you manage your trash. Improper disposal, such as leaving trash unbagged or overflowing, can attract ants and house flies. To prevent this, make sure to place all trash in securely tied bags. Moreover, it's advisable to keep doors closed and avoid leaving food out, while maintaining a clean environment by promptly sweeping up after meals and thoroughly wiping down counters. These practices will help deter unwanted insect guests.
• Early checkin and late check out is available, based on availability and with agreement 1 week or more prior to your stay. The charge is $75/hour before 4pm checkin and after 10am checkout.
